Wondering where to go fishing in Virginia? Try Seagull Pier located in Hampton Roads on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. They have a restaurant with gift shop and 24 hour restrooms which is always a plus.
According to their website, “Anglers may leave the boat at home and enjoy fishing year-round from the Sea Gull Pier, which extends from the southernmost of the four man-made islands at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
The 625-foot, wheelchair accessible fishing pier at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel extends into the Chesapeake Bay and allows fishermen to experience deep-sea fishing, 3.5 miles from the Virginia Beach shoreline. Cleaning stations, as well as a certified weighing station are available. A one-way toll of $12 per car is collected to access the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel; there is no additional fee for unlimited use of the fishing pier. A fishing license is not required.

Personally, I fish here often and can always count on catching fish. I’ve caught Croaker, Spot, Flounder (Fluke), Bluefish, Toadfish, Pigfish, Skates, Flying Fish, and Sharks.
They have a bulletin board showing pictures of big fish caught there which include Cobia, Red Drum, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Stripers, and Spadefish of which I have yet to add to my takedown list.
